Chick-Fil-A Comes to Muskegon
Chick-Fil-A is an incredibly popular fast-food restaurant known for their chicken sandwiches and signature sauce. Spring Lake’s residents have had to travel to either Holland or Grand Rapids just to get chicken from their favorite fast-food restaurant. Those willing to drive an hour round trip for some fast food will be pleased to know that construction is going strong for a new Chick-Fil-A restaurant in Muskegon. Construction was announced as early as February 2020, but was delayed due to COVID-19. The new building is being built where a Johnny Carino’s Italian restaurant stood dormant for eight years before being recently demolished. The opening date for the Muskegon Chick-Fil-A is yet to be announced. However, according to Norton Shores city planner and zoning administrator Ted Woodcock, “It looks like the opening date will be after the new year.” Woodcock continues, explaining that site work is still being done as is the interior of the restaurant.
In other news, the signature Chick-Fil-A sauce, previously only found in restaurants, is now available for purchase. According to the Chick-Fil-A website, five sauces are now for sale in 8-ounce containers: Chick-Fil-A, Polynesian, Barbeque, Honey Mustard, and Garden Herb Ranch. These sauce containers can be purchased via the Chick-Fil-A app or directly from the Chick-Fil-A drive thru when placing an order. Sixteen-ounce tubs of Chick-Fil-A and Polynesian sauce are also being sold in retail stores -- such as Target, Publix, Walmart, and Winn-Dixie -- but currently only in Florida.
So, Lakers, you don’t have to wait too much longer to get your favorite sandwich.
