Grand Haven 9 Reopening

The Grand Haven 9 Movie theater is reopening after 20 months of being closed. GQT bought the Grand Haven 9 to hopefully bring back a great feature to the area. They are warming up their projectors for November 19 of this year when they are supposed to re-open.

The pandemic shut down this attraction in March of 2020, after a long 20 months the theater is re-opening at just the right time for film buffs, there have been some changes that have happened to the inside of the building by GQT. "We're ordering some leather recliners and leather rockers," says McSparin COO of GQT Movies. "We'll be reseating this place."

This re-opening is going to hugely impact and help improve this economy in the area with jobs and such. "We're hoping to get this fully staffed in the next few weeks," says McSparin.

They are planning to open just in time for the release of the new Ghostbusters that is coming out on November 11. GQT has bought other former Goodrich Quality Theaters locations in 23 other cities and has been running them since July 2020. COO Matt McSparin said. “We place our focus on offering affordable ticket and concession prices, a clean and comfortable facility, all topped off by superior customer service. This makes for a perfect recipe for guest satisfaction.”

The prices will be $6 for a morning ticket going up to $8.50 for an evening show. Seniors and Children are going to be $7 and Every Monday and Tuesday tickets will be $5. “We are excited that GQT Movies is investing in our region,” Grand Haven Mayor Robert Monetza said. “We welcome the Grand Haven 9 back and look forward to a long-lasting relationship.”

Grand Haven is excited to bring back one of the long-lasting locations to the community. (i.e By Ally Kucks)
